Thank you for the post and the helpful link. Actually I would prefer Avid over FCP. That might be the best way to resolve the issue. ^^

don’t use prores if you don’t to risk gamma shifts — pick an uncompressed codec instead.

Actually, I am on FCP 7 and Snow Leopard. Go figure.

I think you get these issues if you use a mix of snow leopard and fcp6. If you upgrade to FCP 7 and SL these issues disappear. I think the combination of sytstem-wide 2.2 Gamma and the way fcp 7 is set up for it that fixes it.

Thanks for the post Todd. It was a ProRes 422 HQ codec that originated in FCP 6. Does the same apply?
