The Generations Project

Posted on November 18, 2009 by markgillins

“The Generations Project” is a television series broadcast nationwide by BYU Television that features Post Fifth Pictures employees as editors of 9 of the 13 episodes in the first season. Each episode features a different individual who, for some compelling reason, wants to research their family history. Examples include a caucasian man who wishes to verify a family legend that he descends from a princess from India, and a Florida woman who travels to Ireland to relive the harsh realities of the Potato Famine.

I served as Lead Editor on the project, with Bryce Randle and Jared Cook providing their expertise in the edit bay. The series was shot in Sony XDCAM, cut on Final Cut Pro, and begins airing nationwide on January 7, 2010.
